PTA Announcements
The PTA is excited to kick off our annual Direct Donation Campaign! Our goal is to raise $7,000 in Direct Donations by Thanksgiving. Your donation helps to directly fund community-building events, educational supports in the classroom, student enrichment opportunities, and staff assistance and hospitality. Also, the students receive rewards as we meet each milestone. The first reward will be schoolwide EXTRA RECESS when we reach the $2,000 mark! Any amount is appreciated, so please DONATE today!

Northfield’s 2nd Annual Family Fun Run is Saturday, November 23! FREE, family-friendly event for our amazing students and families. Toddler Run, 1-mile and 3-mile runs for runners, walkers, and strollers. Pre-registration is required for 1-mile and 3-mile entrants. Post-race snacks, music, and some turkey-rific prizes! NES PTA is excited to announce our Spring 2025 musical, Lion King Jr!! Audition Workshops for interested Northfield students in 4th - 5th grade students will be October 22nd and 24th after school in the MPR (Please sign up for ONE date). These workshops are optional and an opportunity for students to learn about what to expect at the tryouts and to get a feel for what the Drama Club is all about! Auditions will take place during the evening hours of November 6th and 7th.
Drama Club is a BIG commitment, please make sure to read over the entire 2025 Audition Packet Info prior to signing up to audition.

Students MUST have a completed & signed audition form and must note any date conflicts on the provided sheet.
The crew will be selected after the show is cast. If your Northfield student is only interested in being part of the crew, please email us at drama@northfieldpta.org. Priority will be given to students that audition and do not make the cast. The remaining crew will be assigned after those students are assigned. Howard County SECAC (Special Education Citizens Advisory Committee) is a parent-driven advisory council advocating for special education issues in the Howard County Public School System (HCPSS).
