Welcome to the new school year! As you prepare to get back into the groove of school, please take a moment to join the PTA! Through the support of our families, teachers, administrators, and community members, we are able to offer a variety of programs and activities to build a strong NES community and provide a fun and rewarding environment for our kids! The Northfield PTA Executive Board is proposing the following budget for the 2025-26 school year. Our General Membership meeting will be held on September 18, 2025 at 7PM. The meeting will take place at Northfield in the MPR. Any questions/comments/concerns please reach out to treasurer@northfieldpta.org. Please note: To access the budget, you must be a current PTA member and logged into the site.

The Fifth Grade parents are preparing to host the first Staff Sprinkle of the school year on Friday, 9/19! Please considering signing up for an item or two to help support the effort. Thanks in advance!

Registration for Girls on the Run Fall 2025 is open for 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders. The season will run from 9/22-12/8 with Monday/Wednesday practices, 4:00pm-5:15pm. We'll work up to a 5k on 12/6 and learn about female empowerment along the way!

Let's celebrate the first month of school! Please join us for a sweet treat on 9/25/25 from 5p-9p at Soft Stuff, 10039 Baltimore National Pike STE G, Ellicott City, MD 21042. Please be sure to mention Northfield, as a portion of the sales goes back to school!

Please donate clean adult & youth sized winter jackets, hats, gloves and scarves to help our community. Drop off donations in the black and yellow bin in the NES lobby during the month of September.

Curious why New York Times Best Seller "The Anxious Generation" by Jonathan Haidt is making waves across the globe? NES PTA is hosting a book discussion to unpack key themes and reflect on how this can apply to our kids and our community. Please read the book in preparation for the discussion and join us on THURSDAY 10/23 in the NES Multipurpose Room from 7-8:30. Questions? Join us for the NES PTA Trunk-or-Treat, sponsored by Matt Mindel, Saturday October 25th, 4 - 6pm at NES! Registration is required by 10/17 to attend. Host a trunk, donate candy, and volunteer during the event! Please bring food bank donations.
