Northfield Elementary PTA has several sponsorship levels that allow businesses to invest in our school’s educational programs and activities that enrich the lives & education of our students. Our PTA directly supports community-building events, educational support in the classroom, student enrichment opportunities, staff support, hospitality, and extracurricular events.

Field Day is upon us! Friday, May 30th and the rain date is scheduled for Thursday, June 5th.

Volunteer
Our amazing PE teachers always organize a super fun day for our students, but they can’t do it without volunteer support.

For station volunteers, there are both morning and afternoon slots. Please note that the morning slots are K-2nd grade and the afternoon slots are 3rd-5th grade. Sign up for the appropriate grade slot if you wish to see your child. Select whether of not your are able to attend on the rain date.

T-shirts
Every year, the PE department sells Field Day shirts to raise funds for the program. The colors for field day are as follows: K - yellow; 1st - green; 2nd - purple; 3rd - red; 4th - orange; 5th - blue. Adults can purchase class colors or black.

Permission Forms
New this year, we have to collect permission forms for every assembly. MD Ravens Wheelchair Basketball will be presenting to our students during Field Day. Please sign and return permission forms by 5/27. Permission forms will be sent home by your homeroom teacher.

More Information
Please apply sunscreen prior to sending your child to school. It’s recommended that you send your child to school with a water bottle, it’s important that students remain hydrated. Have you child carry their essentials for the day (such as sunscreen, extra shoes/socks, towel, snack and water bottle) in a drawstring bag.

More information (including lunch preference and permission forms) will be going home with your students. Please reach out to Mr. Mongello, Mr. Sterner or Mr. Hoke if you have any questions.

Yearbooks are now available for purchase. The deadline to order is May 23, 2025. Yearbooks will be sent home in your student's backpack by the end of the school year.

Starting March 26, 2025, Northfield will have a Waste-free Wednesday EVERY Wednesday! Parents, help your kids eliminate waste by packing a lunch on Wednesdays and using only reusable containers in lunchboxes.

Calling all 5th Graders! Come celebrate the end of your elementary school career with a fun party at Supreme Sports Club! Basketball, pickleball, Connect Four, and much more available. Food, games, music, and a great time had by all. This is a drop-off event. $20 per child. Registration and permission slip will be forthcoming.

All HCPSS parents/guardians are invited to take part in a series of free, virtual workshops, held in partnership with Backpack Healthcare. Offered the fourth Thursday of every month from 6-7 p.m., these workshops will delve into the challenges of parenthood and offer techniques to help parents navigate those challenges.
